What is Refining Crème best for?

It is a morning tone-support step that helps skin look smoother and more even while protecting visible progress.

Who should check with a clinician before using it?

Do not use this retinoid during pregnancy or while trying to conceive. Perfec-Tone also advises avoiding it while breastfeeding. Ask your clinician about a suitable routine. Do not apply it to raw or irritated skin. If you use prescription tretinoin, talk to your prescribing clinician before starting it. We don't recommend pairing our treatment actives with tretinoin or planning alternate nights, and please don't stop or change your prescription to start our products. For other prescribed treatments, ask your prescriber first.

Can I use it on the same day as another corrective?

Perfec-Tone’s pairing guidance allows Refining Crème in the morning and either Resurfacing Crème or Spot Treatment at night, at least eight hours apart. Those two night treatments must never share a day or course. This is not a rule for combining other retinoids; ask your prescriber about prescription treatments.

Do I still need sunscreen?

Refining Crème contains sunscreen, but it has no SPF rating, so it doesn't replace your sunscreen. Use a separate broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning. For a beach day, sports, sweating or long hours in the sun, follow your sunscreen's label for reapplication.

What should I do if my skin reacts?

Stop using the product if you develop persistent burning, raw skin, a rash, swelling or worsening symptoms. Do not push through a reaction or restart automatically. Seek prompt medical advice for significant or persistent symptoms, without waiting or asking our permission first, and urgent care for breathing problems or severe swelling. Contact bahamas@perfec-tone.com with the product and your routine so the Skin Studio team can help with product questions.

When should I use it?

Use it in the morning. It is not an evening treatment.

Can I wear it under makeup?

Yes. It helps create a smoother-looking base under makeup.

Before starting a new routine

Monitor your skin for effects during the first 24 hours of use. Report any concerns to the Skin Studio within 48 hours. Do not wait to seek help for a serious reaction.

Let the team know about your current products, prescription medicines, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any irritation. Your prescribing clinician decides whether a prescription or routine change is appropriate.

If your skin reacts

Persistent burning, raw skin, swelling or severe pain need prompt medical advice. Stop the Perfec-Tone product causing the reaction and contact a doctor. Do not change prescribed medication without your clinician’s advice.
